Barbera d'alba doc giardino

Behind the Bric Merli farmhouse there was once an ancient garden dear to Daniele Malabaila, and from here comes the name of our Barbera, one of the most widespread and representative grape varieties of Piedmont. The first documented records date back to the 13th century, when its cultivation was already attested in the hills of Monferrato, an area considered its main place of origin.

Over the centuries, Barbera gradually spread across much of the Piedmont region thanks to its good adaptability to different soils and its natural ability to produce wines characterized by lively acidity, intense color, and good structure. These characteristics favored its wide diffusion in the Piedmont countryside, where for a long time it was one of the most widely cultivated grape varieties.

Perfect with medium-aged cheeses, dried fruit, white meats, and oven-roasted vegetables.

LANGHE DOC NEBBIOLO AJA

Open heart

The elegance of the magpie is expressed in the lightness of its movements but, above all, in its colors: the white and the deep glossy black with bright blue reflections. In the same way, this wine stands out for its intense red color with distinctive violet reflections. And with the magpie, a dynamic and swift bird with a long tail, it also shares liveliness and persistence on the palate.
