1362 gives its name to our Metodo Classico. It is born from the union of two native grape varieties of the Roero and from a traditional method vinification with a long aging on the lees of approximately five years. This aging process contributes to the development of bread crust notes and a greater aromatic complexity, while preserving the freshness and natural acidity that characterize these grapes.
The name recalls a significant date in the history of the Malabaila family. In the historical archives there is in fact a document from 1362 recording the purchase of the first land destined to become a vineyard, a testimony to the origins of the family’s winemaking activity in the Roero.
