In the year 1583, the registers of the possessions of Count Daniele Malabaila include a description of the Masseria della Volta:
“The Masseria della Volta, arable land with vines and fallow land with a farmhouse within, bordering the territories of San Damiano and Priocca, this plot of land with vines extending from the Gardesana to the meadow of the Giardino.”
From these lands comes a Nebbiolo that expresses in a typical way the character of the Roero. The slope of the vineyards, the loose sandy soils, and the age of the vines contribute to the creation of a wine with good structure, delicate tannins, and a fresh and full aromatic profile. Aging in large oak casks completes its balance, accompanying the natural softening of the tannins and enhancing its elegance.
